Met and shot with the crazy cool Dana Tamamachi yesterday for Squarespace. It was great to finally meet since we have a handful of mutual friends and I’ve followed her incredible work for some time.
I tend to be a goof and do funny things when I’m directing the people I shoot, and as you can see, Dana found this a bit amusing. Thankfully she reacted positively.
Thanks Dana!
A couple weeks back I did a shoot completely on my iPhone for Visual Supply Co for the launch of their new iPhone App, VSCO Cam. Brett Carlson shot a wicked good BTS video highlighting the day and the app. You can check out the full feature post here: http://visualsupply.co/features/vsco-cam-collin-hughes
One of my display photos from the GMAC Campaign I shot last December at the 2012 PGA Show in Orlando. Crazy to see a photo of mine this huge. Thanks for emailing me this Karl!
My friend Tristan is a fantastic comedian and performer I’ve met since my move to New York last year. He is currently a performer and writer for the sketch comedy team The Charlies, who recently won the Arena Sketch League Competition in 2011 and also performed at Chicago’s Sketchfest 2012. Additionally, he performs monthly at the Stand Up NY with the sketch comedy group Uptown Girl. Quite the guy with a infectious laugh and down-to-earth personality coming from his small-town upbringing in Georgia. If you’re ever in NYC looking for a good show, try catching one of his shows!
A preview of a test in Manhattan with my friend Lize.
BTS video from my shoot with Rory earlier this month. I get a couple cameos here and there which is always fun. Thanks Stephen for the video!
Enjoy!
No more than two weeks ago, I had the fantastic opportunity to photograph one of the top golfers in the world, Rory McIlroy. I worked with Atomic (they’re the Dublin-based creative agency I also shot this campaign for Graeme McDowell with) to create content for Rory’s new website, which went live this morning. The shoot involved locations in NYC and Miami in a span of thirty hours, catching time with Rory here and there between planes, press conferences, meetings, interviews, and practice. Rory has to be the one of the busiest people I have ever met and it was a blast to spend a couple days getting to know him.
Thanks to the help of Rory’s managers Conor and Sean from Horizon and Stephen Quinn from Atomic for making this shoot the success it was.
Check out Rory’s new website here (http://rorymcilroy.com) and keep a lookout for him at this year’s Master’s Tournament. I know I’ll be tuning in!
